the rivers are dry
the deserts are wet
our modern reasoning
cannot explain why
smokestacks spew
into our irreplaceable sky
we no longer can look up
to the heavens of blue
concerned citizens ask
what are we to do
fanatical rhetoric rants
look to the book
'tis there you will fnd
what shall become of you and your kind
