Fence Sense

We all want
what we cannot have
the white picket fence
on Main Street Ave.
we all hunt
for the greener-sided fence
we'll save those pennies
yet it makes no sense
what will we do
if we ever fnd
that the greener side
is not the right kind
will we want
what we once had
will we live a life
so pitiful and sad
be careful I say
for it could drive you mad
